Having a backup is not the same as being able to recover. We set up automatic backups of your computers, servers and NAS, keep one outside the office and out of ransomware’s reach, and check that they can be restored. In Granollers and the Vallès, or remotely.

Automatic backups
Desktops, laptops, servers, NAS and Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace accounts, every day and without anyone having to remember.

The 3-2-1 rule
Three copies, on two different media, with one away from the office. If the premises flood or someone steals the NAS, the data is still safe.

Immutable backups
A copy nobody can delete or encrypt for a set period, not even with the administrator password. It is what saves a business from ransomware.

Tested restores
Every so often we restore files or whole computers to check the backup works. A backup that has never been tested is an assumption.

Each option has its role, and the right answer is almost always to combine them. We explain it in NAS or cloud for your backups.
NAS in the office
Restoring is quick because the data is right there. But if something happens to the premises, it happens to the backup too.
Cloud in Europe
An encrypted copy in data centres in the European Union, away from your office. Slower to restore in full, but safe from whatever happens on the premises.
Company server
A backup of the whole server, so it can be brought up on another machine if the original stops working.
Each person’s computer
The documents left on everyone’s desktop, which are usually the ones nobody backs up.

What we don’t do, and why
With backups, the danger is a false sense of security.
We don’t accept a connected backup
A USB drive that is always plugged in, or a synced folder, isn’t a backup: if ransomware encrypts the computer, it encrypts that too.
Nor back up blindly
We tell you in writing what is backed up and what isn’t. If something is left out, you know.
Nor duplicate what you already have
If your website and email are already on our hosting, their backups are included there. This service is for your office data.
Nor keep more than we should
Backups contain personal data, so they comply with the GDPR too: encrypted, with restricted access and deleted once they are no longer needed.

What people usually ask
Isn’t OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox enough?+
Not entirely. They are sync services: if you delete a file or ransomware encrypts it, the change is copied to the cloud within seconds. They keep versions for a while and they help, but they are not an independent backup and they don’t cover anything that isn’t synced. We use them as part of the solution, not as the solution.What is an immutable backup?+
A backup that cannot be changed or deleted for the period you set, not even with the administrator password. If an attacker gets into your network and goes looking for the backups to destroy them, which is the first thing modern ransomware tries, that copy is still there.How often are backups made?+
At least once a day, and we keep several versions going back, not just yesterday’s. Problems are often discovered days later, by which time the most recent backup may already be affected. If some data changes a lot during the day, such as an invoicing database, it can be backed up more often.How long does recovery take?+
A file or a folder, minutes. A whole computer from the office NAS, a few hours. Restoring a lot of data from the cloud can take longer, depending on the connection, which is why we combine the two. During set-up we tell you the real times with your data.Where is my data and who can see it?+
The cloud copy is encrypted before it leaves your office and is stored in data centres in the European Union. Only your company and whoever manages the backups have access, and that is governed by a data processing agreement, as the GDPR requires.What if I already have a NAS?+
We make use of it. We check how it is configured, whether it is exposed to the internet, whether its backups are independent and whether they can be restored, and add the off-site copy it is missing to meet the 3-2-1 rule.Do you work remotely?+
Yes. Cloud backups, monitoring and most restores are done remotely, so we work with businesses outside the Vallès just as well.
