IT services in
Canovelles.
In practice, Canovelles is part of the same urban fabric as Granollers: the Barriada Nova stitches the two towns together. With 17,445 inhabitants in 6.66 km², it's the most densely populated of the five areas we cover. Computer repair, networks, Wi-Fi and security cameras for homes, shops and businesses, with free diagnosis and call-out included.
What we do near you
Same team, same prices as in Granollers. These are the services we're asked for most in Canovelles.
The largest market in the county, every Sunday
Canovelles has the largest Sunday market in the Vallès Oriental: more than 380 stalls along some 2,500 metres of street and over 10,000 visitors every Sunday from 9:00 to 14:00, according to the Town Council's own figures. Founded in 1961 with just three stalls, it now has more pitches than the Granollers market, and in November 2024 it moved permanently to the Passeig de la Ribera. With 17,445 inhabitants in 6.66 km² — 2,619 people per km², the highest density of the five areas we cover — Canovelles is above all a town of streets and shops, not scattered housing estates. That volume of people and trade, together with the Can Castells and Can Galobardes industrial estates, shapes what this town really needs from its technology.
Sunday can't fail
A 382-stall market means card terminals, bar and shop Wi-Fi and cameras in the surrounding premises all working at once, within a few hours and with crowds in the street. If the till freezes mid-morning on a Sunday, the stall loses sales it won't win back during the week. We check and set up the networks of shops and premises around the market — from the card terminal to the customer Wi-Fi — and install security cameras for shop windows and storerooms with heavy footfall. If you run a shop and aren't sure how many cameras you need to cover the frontage and back room properly, this article explains it with examples.
Industrial estates that can't stop
Can Castells, built in 1975, and Can Galobardes are home to metalworking, printing, textiles, chemicals and food, with 1,385 workers registered in industry, almost matching the 1,505 in services according to the latest Social Security figures: an unusual ratio for such a densely populated town. A production unit can't afford a network fault that stops a line, and it needs Wi-Fi that reaches from one end of the shop floor to the other, not just the office. We design networks and Wi-Fi for industrial units, designed so that production never depends on whether the signal reaches the back of the warehouse.

What working in Canovelles is like
Canovelles and Granollers run into each other: cross the road and you're there. For us, that means a fault here gets the same treatment as one in central Granollers, almost always on the same day, and a device that needs opening up is collected and returned without anyone having to get in the car.
On the home side, what we mostly see is flats in apartment blocks, with the fibre coming in at one point and the router wherever the provider left it, which is usually the worst possible spot. The problem is almost never the line you're paying for: it's that the signal has to get through three walls before it reaches the living room. The fix is moving the router or adding a wired access point, not switching provider.
On the business side, high-street shops and workshops. Tills that lose the network at peak time, cameras that record but nobody knows how to get the footage out on the day it's needed, and office computers holding years of invoices with no backup at all. They're a morning's work that saves you a very expensive headache.
About Canovelles
Do you also cover the Can Castells and Can Galobardes industrial estates, or just the town centre?+
We cover the whole municipality, not just the centre. Canovelles is practically an extension of Granollers — it's one continuous built-up area, with the Barriada Nova stitching the two together — and the drive from our workshop to any of the town's 13 neighbourhoods, from Les Àligues to Sanaüja, takes barely 3 minutes. That includes the Can Castells industrial estate, built in 1975, and Can Galobardes, which have practically merged into a single industrial area home to metalworking, printing, textiles, chemicals and food. We'll go to a production unit just as readily as to a flat in the Barriada Nova or a shop in the centre, for businesses and home users alike, with the same free diagnosis and no call-out charge anywhere in the town.
Do you work for the shops around the Sunday market?+
Yes, and it's one of the things we're asked for most in Canovelles. The town's Sunday market is the largest in the county by number of stalls — 382 according to the Town Council's latest count, along some 2,500 metres of street — and it's even bigger than Granollers'. It draws more than 10,000 visitors every Sunday from 9:00 to 14:00, a crowd no other day of the week comes close to. In November 2024 it moved permanently to the Passeig de la Ribera, next to the Guardia Civil barracks, to ease congestion in the centre. For shops in that area we install card terminals and Wi-Fi that can cope with the crowds of a market Sunday, and cameras on shopfronts and storerooms with heavy footfall. Outside market day, for the rest of the week those same shops need the same network running without interruptions.
Is it true that Canovelles already has the Generalitat's public fibre network?+
Yes, with an important caveat worth clearing up because it causes confusion. Canovelles is one of seven Vallès Oriental municipalities where the Generalitat's public fibre network (Xarxa Oberta) was already in place before 2025, along with Aiguafreda, Figaró-Montmany, l'Ametlla del Vallès, Tagamanent, Vallgorguina and Vilalba Sasserra. But that network connects public facilities and services — the town hall, schools, council buildings — and is made available to private operators so that they, in turn, can serve homes and businesses. It isn't a connection that reaches your home or premises directly just because the town is on the list. Today there's no reliable public source saying, street by street, which operator has fibre deployed in Canovelles, so we're not going to give you a made-up figure: what we can do is check your existing installation and tell you which options are genuinely available at your address.
Do the thirty cameras the Town Council installed at the entrances to the town cover my business or my home?+
No, they're different things and it's worth telling them apart. In autumn 2023 Canovelles Town Council put out to tender a system of more than thirty CCTV cameras at the entry and exit points of the municipality, most with number-plate recognition and linked to the Local Police, with a budget of roughly €270,000. That network monitors who drives in and out of the town; it doesn't see inside your shop, your unit or your front door, and it doesn't replace any private security measure. We install dedicated cameras for businesses and homes, designed to cover your shop window, your storeroom or your front entrance, with recording and access from your phone — something the municipal network neither covers nor aims to. They're two different, complementary layers of security: one watches the street, the other watches what's yours.
I live in a flat in the Barriada Nova and the Wi-Fi doesn't reach every room properly. Can it be fixed?+
It's a very common question in Canovelles, and there's a reason for it: almost 6 in 10 main residences in the town are between 46 and 90 m², and 76% of the housing stock is under 90 m² — according to the 2021 census, it's in fact the smallest and most vertical housing stock of the five areas we cover, along with Mollet. In flats of that size, with masonry partition walls and sometimes several floors, a single router rarely reaches every room equally well, and adding stand-alone boosters almost never fixes the root problem. The usual solution is a mesh Wi-Fi system with two or three coordinated points that spread the signal without drop-outs as you move from room to room. We explain how to work out how many nodes you need based on floor area and layout in this guide, which will give you an idea before we come and assess it on site.
